A man is fighting for his life after a cycling accident on the M4 South this morning at around 07h00. Reports from the scene indicate that the man seemed to have hit a log of wood between Umhlanga and La Lucia, he lost control and fell head-first into the ground.
Netcare 911 paramedics arrived at the scene and found the critically injured man lying on the roadway. After he was placed on a ventilator and skillfully immobilized on a trauma board, medics transported the man to a Netcare hospital for the care that he required.
