Netcare 911 paramedics, its rescue unit and other services responded to an incident at a construction area in Durban this afternoon.
Upon their arrival on scene they found that four men were injured, three seriously so, after they fell into a ditch while they were busy working at a construction area. One man was entrapped under sand and Netcare 911’s rescue unit and members from the fire department freed the man from the sand.
After the men were treated and stabilised on scene, they were all transported to a nearby Netcare facility for further medical care.
Exact details to the cause of the incident and preceding events are unclear at this stage.
