Rescue Care paramedics were called to Tara Road near Grosvenor Boys High School just after 6:30am this morning for a head on collision.
On arrival paramedics found that two vehicles had collided head on in the road way. A quick assessment revealed that three people from both vehicles had sustained various injuries. All three were stabilized on the scene using Advanced Life Support intervention. Once stabilized all three patients were transported by ambulance to various Durban Hospitals for the further care that they required.
It is unclear what caused the collision however the necessary authorities were on the scene and will be investigating further.
Morning peak hour traffic was severely affected on Tara Road whilst emergency personal worked to clear the scene.
