Two people have been killed and another person is in a serious condition after the vehicle they were in lost control and veered off Edendale Road and rolled down an embankment near to a river at Henley Dam this morning.
ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene and found the car on its roof with all three occupants of the car in different areas near to the accident scene. Its believed that all three occupants were ejected from the vehicle when it rolled down the embankment. Paramedics assessed the patients and found that one of the occupants had already succumbed to his injuries and was declared deceased on scene.
The person was in a critical condition after sustaining a suspected head injury. Advanced Life Support intervention was performed on the patient to help stabilise the patient further. While paramedics stabilised the patient the AER24 medicopter was called to scene to airlift the patient to Grey’s Hospital for rapid medical care. Unfortunately the patient passed away in hospital due to the injuries she had sustained in the accident. The third patient had a suspected neck and back injury and multiple cuts and abrasions. The patient was transported to Edendale Hospital for further medical care.
The circumstances around the accident would be investigated by the local authorities
