Seven year old airlifted from R512

Two women and four children have been injured after the SUV that they were travelling in rolled. The vehicle rolled down a short embankment at the side of the road off the R512 near the Home of the Chicken pie, but the cause is still unknown.

A doctor had stopped on scene and activated the emergency services while she initiated treatment on the little seven year old who was allegedly ejected from the vehicle. The little girl was later airlifted by AER24 to Mediclinic Sandton for further care of a suspected head injury and broken bones.

The three other children and two adult women suffered minor and moderate injuries and they received treatment on scene as required.

It is believed that no other vehicles were involved in the accident.
