One man has sustained critical head injuries after he allegedly came off his motorbike and was then driven over by a vehicle.
At around 13:30 this afternoon, our JHB East paramedics were called to the scene on Pretoria road at the Barbara road crossing to assist in treating the badly injured man. According to bystanders who witnessed the incident, they explained that it appeared that the motorcyclist had lost control of his bike for some reason after which he came off the vehicle and was then lying in the road when an SUV then drove over him.
Paramedics found him to have sustained critical head injuries and he was placed in life support by the Advanced Life Support paramedic. The patient was then transported by ambulance to Tambo Memorial Hospital for further care.
