Netcare 911 paramedics responded to a shooting incident in Brackenhurst, Alberton this morning.
Upon their arrival on scene they found that three people had tragically died and a woman sustained critical injuries.
The woman was rushed to a nearby Netcare hospital for the urgent medical care that she required.
Exact detail to the cause of the incident and preceding events will remain the subject of a police investigation.
