Just after 3pm on Sunday afternoon Rescue Care was called to a serious accident on the corner of 5th Ave and Huntley Road in Malvern.
On arrival paramedics found that a scooter had collided with a telephone pole. Paramedics found a 27 year old male laying unresponsive in the roadway. Paramedics rushed to his aid however he had unfortunately passed away before paramedics could arrive due to the injuries he had sustained. It is believed that this was the passenger on the scooter, the driver was uninjured in the collision.
It is unclear what caused the scooter to collide with the pole however SAPS were on the scene and will be investigating further.
