Netcare 911 paramedics responded to a shooting incident on Uiterkyk Street in Sunward Park, Boksburg this afternoon.
Upon their arrival on scene they found a man in a serious condition, following the shooting incident.
The man was treated on scene before he was transported to a nearby Netcare facility for further medical care.
Exact detail to the cause of the incident and preceding events are unknown and will remain the subject of a police investigation.
