A Surfer sustained serious injuries while surfing the abnormally high waves on the Main beach of Richards Bay at around 14h00 this afternoon. Reports from the scene is that the man was coming down a wave when things went wrong and he sustained an injury to his lower limbs.
Netcare 911 paramedics stabelised the injured man at the beach and then transported him to a Netcare hospital for the care that he required.
