Rescue Care paramedics were called to a taxi accident on the M4 Durban bound before Victoria Embankment just after 5pm tonight.
On arrival paramedics found that a taxi had collided into the back of the truck. Fearing the worst paramedics quickly assessed the situation. Paramedics found that seven people had sustained mild to moderate injuries. Paramedics worked to stabilize the injured on scene before being transported to various Durban hospitals for the care that they required.
It is unclear what caused the taxi to collide into the taxi however the necessary authorities were on scene and will be investigating further.
Traffic was severely affected as two out of four lanes were closed whilst emergency personal worked to clear the scene.
