What appears to have been a prematurely born foetus, was found by a man looking through a rubbish bin at the intersection of Dirkie Uys and General Pienaar Avenue in Witpoortjie this afternoon.
The man found the little girl wrapped in plastic and ER24 was called. They arrived and noted that the baby appeared to have been born prematurely, and the umbilical cord was still attached. Sadly she was no longer alive and she was declared dead.
The baby’s remains were handed over to the local police and they will be conducting all necessary details into the incident details and as to why the baby was discarded.
