A forty-two-year-old man is fighting for his life after he fell about five stories after working on the roof of a Tyre company in Port Elizabeth this morning. Reports indicate that the man was working on the roof when he fell and landed on a concrete slab.
Exact detail to the cause of the man falling and preceding events will remain a subject for the department of labour to investigate.
Netcare 911 paramedics arrived at the scene and found the injured man lying on the concrete with life threatening injuries. Paramedics worked fervently to stabilise the injured man on scene, after he was placed on a ventilator and deftly immobilized on a trauma board, they transported the man to a Netcare hospital for the care that he required.
