A tree felling accident claimed the life of a man in Buffelsnek, near Knysna this morning.
ER24 Paramedics arrived on scene only to find that the man sustained fatal injuries and he was declared deceased on the scene.
It is believed that the man was assisting in the operation of a crane at the time when a presumed mechanical failure caused the accident, however the exact cause will be investigated.
No other people were injured on the scene.
