A man in his late 20’s has been killed in an industrial incident that took place on Wiltshire road in Pinetown this afternoon.
ER24 Paramedics responded to the site of the business where trucks are manufactured, and they found that the young man had suffered fatal injuries after the trailer of one of the trucks had fallen onto him. The details surrounding what happened resulting in the man sustaining fatal injuries, but it appears that he was working at the back of the truck on the trailer part when it fell onto his head.
There was no more that paramedics could do for the young man and he was declared dead on scene a short while later.
No one else had been injured in the incident and the safety authorities at the company will conduct all necessary investigation into the cause of this fatal incident. The man’s remains were handed over to the local SAPS.
