A woman in her 40’s was knocked down on Garfield road in Pietermaritzburg CBD this morning resulting in the woman suffering critical injuries.
The woman was found lying in the road after a taxi had knocked into her. She had suffered extensive head injuries and was in need of immediate care. The Advanced Life Support paramedic immediately took over her treatment and she was placed onto life support.
The woman was transported to Greys hospital by ambulance for further care.
No one in the taxi suffered any injuries as a result of the crash.
