Two people have died while two others were seriously injured in an accident on the N4 near Watermeyer Road in Pretoria this afternoon. Reports indicate that the two elderly people were traveling on the N4 east bound when they veered across the centre median the wreckage coming to rest in the west bound lane.
Netcare 911 paramedics and the emergency services arrived at the scene and found that a man a woman both in their sixties tragically died on impact, two women one in her thirties and one a teenager sustained serious injuries.
After the injured were stabilised on scene they were transported to an area hospital for the care that they required. Exact detail to the cause of the accident and preceding events will remain a subject for police investigation and comment.
