Twelve people were injured, one critically so , after two taxis collided along the R33 in Copesville this morning at around 09h30. Reports from the scene is that after the vehicles collided hear-on the one traveling up the hill went down an embankment , the other taxi rolled down the hill coming to rest in the road several meters from the point of impact.
Netcare 911 paramedics arrived at the scene and after triaging the injured found that one person sustained critical injuries one commuter was seriously injured while ten others escaped with minor injuries.
After medics stabilised the injured on scene they transported them to various hospitals for the care that they required.
