A man in his 30’s left his home in the informal location in Northdale, Pietermaritzburg yesterday evening and didn’t return. His friends went looking for him and found him this morning lying in a ditch on top of electrical cables.
It is not clear as to what had taken place, but paramedics arrived on scene and found the man to have died prior to their arrival and they declared him dead. They suspected that he had been electrocuted and that this had caused his death.
Local police attended the scene and will conduct all investigations into what had taken place.
