Crisis Medical Paramedics responded to reports of an overturned mini van on Briardale Road, Newlands West at 15:15 today.
First to arrive on scene, paramedics found that a Police vehicle had overturned. The occupants of the vehicle were assessed and it was established that 7 people had sustained injuries ranging from minor to moderate. All of the injured were stabilised on scene before being transported to Ethekwini Hospital by Crisis Medical ambulances for further medical treatment.
At this stage it is unknown what caused the vehicle to overturn however the wet weather in Durban is thought to have contributed towards the accident.
