Collision in Glenwood leaves 12 injured

Rescue Care paramedics were kept busy this weekend in the wet weather that lashed Durban. Two separate collisions in the Glenwood area left twelve injured.

On Friday morning Rescue Care paramedics were called to the intersection of Mc Donald Road and Frere Road for a collision. On arrival paramedics found that two vehicles had collided in the junction before one came to rest against a nearby wall. A total of six people had sustained various injuries and were stabilized on the scene by ER24 and Rescue Care before being transported to various hospitals for the further care that they required.

On Sunday morning just after 8am Rescue Care paramedics were called to the intersection of Franscois Road and Bartle Road for a serious collision. On arrival paramedics found that two vehicles had collided before one rolled several times. A total of six patients had sustained various injuries and were stabilized on scene by Rescue Care and ER24 before being transported to various Durban hospitals for further care that they required.

It is unclear what caused both these collisions however SAPS were on both the scenes and will be investigating further.
