Netcare 911 paramedics and other services responded to a fire in Lerato Park in Galeshewe, Kimberley this morning.
Upon their arrival on scene they found a woman to be in a serious condition after her home caught alight.
The woman was treated on scene before she was transported to a nearby hospital for further medical care.
Exact detail to the cause of the fire and preceding events will remain the subject of an investigation.
