Netcare 911 paramedics and other services responded to an accident about twenty-five kilometres outside Polokwane on the Matlala Road this evening.
Upon their arrival on scene they found that two vehicles had collided resulting in five people tragically losing their lives. Rescue services had to make use of the Jaws of Life to extricate the entrapped bodies of the deceased from both vehicles.
Exact detail to the cause of the accident and preceding events are unknown and will remain the subject of a police investigation.
