Paramedics responded to a nursery school just outside of Newcastle where a little girl is believed to have been bitten by a snake.
The three year old girl was found to be in a stable condition but there was evidence of a bite on her foot. The teachers that were with her could not positively identify the snake but said that it appeared to be about half a meter long and black in colour.
The little girls wounds were dressed and she was closely monitored by paramedics en route to a nearby hospital. She remained in a stable condition and who condition did not change while paramedics handed the little girl over to trauma staff.
It is simply believed that the little girl was playing outside when the alleged bite happened.
