Maitland, Western Cape – 13 November
A 23 year old woman was killed after a wall collapsed onto her this morning.
It is believed that a wall collapsed at a construction site in Vooetrekker Road in Maitland Western Cape and that an adjacent building was damaged.
The woman, an employee from the adjacent business, had been struck by debris and was killed as a result.
CPR attempts were made to revive her but it proved to be unsuccessful. She was declared deceased on the scene.
Two others were moderately injured and was transported to a nearby hospital.
The cause of this incident will be investigated by relevant authorities.
