Roosheuwel, Klerksdorp – 14 November
An elderly woman and a 13 year old boy passed away and 2 others injured when their house caught fire in Klerksdorp in the early hours of this morning.
Fire fighters had to douse the flames of a house in Trens Erasmus Rd in Roosheuwel, where they found the 4 occupants in the house. Initially the young boy was rescue by an official and rushed to hospital but sadly passed away later.
A mother and a young child fortunately survived the ordeal when they were rescued by authority officials and rescue workers.
They were treated for smoke inhalation and transported to the Ancron hospital in Klerksdorp for further care.
The cause of the fire is still unknown and will be investigated by the relevant authorities.
