A six – year –old boy has tragically drowned at sea in the La Mercy area on the Natal north coast this afternoon. Reports indicate that the child had been swimming in the sea with his friends when he got into difficulty.
Netcare 911 paramedics and the S A P search and rescue received a call just after three this afternoon and found a distraught crowd at the water’s edge explaining where the child was last seen. Divers went in and within a short time managed to find the body of the boy, tragically he was declared dead on scene.
