An early morning crash involving a luxury sedan claimed the life of a 50 year old man in Vanderbijlpark.
While ER24 Paramedics were returning from another emergency at around 3 am, they noticed authorities at the side of the road and a badly damaged wreck just off the R57.
On further investigation they found the man, possibly the driver and only occupant, lying some distance away from the wreck where he had been flung from the vehicle.
He sustained severe injuries and showed no signs of life. He was declared deceased on the scene.
It appeared that the vehicle veered off the road, crashed into a tree and then overturned onto it’s roof, ejecting the man.
Details around the crash are still unknown and will be investigated as necessary.
