Netcare 911 paramedics and other services responded to a pedestrian accident on Modderfontein Road (R25) in Edenvale this evening.
Upon their arrival on scene they found a fifty-seven-year-old man in a critical condition after he was knocked over by a vehicle.
The man was treated on scene and rushed to hospital for the urgent medical care that he required.
Exact detail to the cause of the accident and preceding events are unknown, and will remain the subject of a police investigation.
