Netcare 911 paramedics and other services responded to an accident on the N2 in the Zinkwazi area in KZN, this morning after 05h00.
Upon their arrival on scene they found that a motor vehicle had rear-ended a heavy goods vehicle resulting in a twenty-three-year-old man tragically losing his life and a woman was found in a critical condition.
The woman was treated on scene and rushed to hospital for the urgent medical care she required.
Exact detail to the cause of the accident and preceding events are unknown and will remain the subject of a police investigation.
