Netcare 911 paramedics and other services responded to an accident on the R21 near the Olifantsfontein Road off-ramp in the Kempton Park outlying area this evening.
Upon their arrival on scene they found that a motor vehicle had overturned and came to a standstill in the centre island. A female tragically lost her life, a man was found to be in a critical condition and another man sustained serious injuries.
The two injured men were treated on scene before they were transported to hospital for further medical care.
Exact detail to the cause of the accident and preceding events will remain the subject of a police investigation.
