Just after 7pm on Sunday, an off duty ER24 Paramedic that had just finished day shift came across a bakkie that had overturned numerous times on Pomona Road in Kempton Park.
He immediately stopped his vehicle on the scene and called for further assistance from his fellow colleagues at ER24. While assessing the scene he found the driver, a man in his 50′s and only occupant of the bakkie, still inside the vehicle and found that he had suffered a possible broken arm along with other serious injuries.
Other ER24 paramedics arrived shortly thereafter and the man was stabilised on the scene before being transported to Tambo Memorial Hospital for further medical care.
Local authorities were on scene to investigate the incident further.
