Just after 07:30 this morning Rescue Care paramedics received a call of a taxi accident on the corner of Berea Road and Vause Road.
On arrival paramedics found that a taxi had collided into to cars on the Durban bound carriageway. Paramedics quickly assessed the scene and found that a total of eight people had sustained various injuries. Once they were stabilized on the scene all of the injured were transported to various Durban hospitals for further care that they required.
It is unclear what caused the collision however SAPS were on scene and will be investigating further.
