Three people have died and a female is fighting for her life after a shooting incident in Potchefstroom this morning. Exact detail to the cause of the shooting and preceding events will remain a subject for police investigation and comment.
Netcare 911 paramedics arrived at the scene and found the four people lying on the ground with life threatening injuries, two in a critical condition while two others had tragically died before our arrival.
Netcare 911 paramedics worked fervently on a male patient and continued resuscitation for more than two hours, tragically the man died due to the extensive injuries that he sustained. A female patient was treated by the provincial paramedics and then transported to a provincial hospital for the care that she required.
