A four year old boy was sadly killed late yesterday afternoon after being knocked down by a bakkie on the R510, the main road between Lephalale and the Botswana border.
According to witnesses the bakkie had pulled over to the side of the road when the boy, who was walking with his mother at the time, was knocked over.
Sadly, nothing could be done to safe his life and he was declared deceased on the scene by paramedics.
His mother, obviously severely distraught, had to be transported by ER24 ambulance to a nearby hospital for treatment of shock after what had happened.
