A two-year-old –boy is fighting for his life after a drowning incident in Midrand this afternoon. Exact detail as to how the child landed in the pool will remain a subject for police investigation and comment.
Netcare 911 paramedics was responding to the call and was met by the parents on route, they immediately started resuscitation and continued through to a nearby hospital where they managed to get the child’s heart to start beating.
After the infant was stabilised the paramedics airlifted him to a specialty hospital for the critical care that he required.
