Port Elizabeth drownings leaves two dead

Six people were pulled out to sea at the Bleu water bay Beach in Port Elizabeth yesterday at around 09h27. Reports from the scene indicate that five people had been rescued by the life guards and brought to the beach, one of them was in cardiac respiratory arrest. A sixteen-year-old boy disappeared under the water and despite search efforts was not found.

Netcare 911 paramedics  arrived at the scene and found the man lying on the beach with life guards doing C P R.  Paramedics worked fervently for more that forty minutes to try and resuscitate the man but tragically he was declared dead.
