A female in her thirties has tragically died after sustaining a fatal gunshot wound in the Grange area of Pietermaritzburg this evening at around 19h00. Exact detail to the cause of the shooting will remain a subject for police investigation and comment.
Netcare 911 paramedics arrived at the scene and after they examined the female it was established that she tragically died before our arrival.
