Crisis Medical Paramedics responded to reports of a collision on Ridgeside Road between a taxi and a bakkie at 14:00 today.
First to arrive on scene, paramedics found the road way obstructed with the two vehicles that had collided. The passengers of both vehicles were assessed and it was established 9 people had been injured, 1 seriously so. Advanced Life Support paramedics were called to assist with the critical patient.
Once the injured had been stablished on scene, they were transported to various local hospitals by a number of service providers.
It is believed that a guilty driver skipped a traffic light causing the vehicles to collide with one another.
Local SAPS and Metro Police were on scene to determine the exact cause of the accident.
