2 People burnt when lead light explodes during vehicle maintenance

Rescue Care paramedics were called to a fire at a workshop in Sparks Road Durban today just before 4pm.

On arrival paramedics found that two men had been injured one severely so after a lead light exploded whilst they were working under a vehicle. Paramedics quickly worked to stabilize the two injured men using Advanced Life Support intervention on the scene. Once both men were stabilized on scene they were transported by Rescue Care to St Augustine’s Hospital for the further care they required.

It is unclear what caused the fire however the Fire Department was on scene and will be investigating further.
