Truck driver narrowly escapes collision
A man narrowly escaped serious injury after he lost control of his truck on the N1 north just after Bloemfontein.
ER24 paramedics arrived on scene to find the large truck lying on the roadside, its cab ripped apart.
Paramedics assessed the man and were surprised to find that he only had minor bumps and bruises.
The driver explained that he veered off the road when he lost control of the truck because he swerved it to avoid an oncoming vehicle.
The cause of the collision is unknown and investigations are underway.
