A three year old little girl is in a serious condition after a near drowning incident in a Umbilo residence this afternoon.
Rescue Care paramedics raced to the Umbilo residence just after 4pm after receiving a frantic call from the Glenmore Community Police Forum. Advanced Life Support paramedics arrived to find the little girl in a serious condition. Fortunately a passing security guard as well as the Glenmore CPF had stopped to help and performed CPR which saved the little girl’s life. Paramedics stabilized the three year old before rushing her through to a nearby hospital for further care that she required.
Rescue Care paramedics urge parents to please keep a eye on your children around the pool. Pool safety is of utmost importance and all pools should have a safety net or fencing that is high enough so children cannot gain entrance.
