Netcare 911 paramedics and other services responded to an electrocution incident in Copesville, Pietermaritzburg this afternoon.
Upon their arrival on scene they found that a boy, aged approximately eight-years-old, tragically lost his life after an electrocution incident.
There was unfortunately nothing paramedics could do for the boy as he was already deceased when they arrived at the scene.
Exact detail to the cause of the incident and preceding events will remain the subject of a police investigation.
