A man in his 20s is in a critical condition this morning after being stabbed multiple times on Church street bridge, Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu Natal.
ER24 paramedics arrived on scene and found the man lying against the roadside barrier in a pool of blood.
The patient had sustained multiple stab wounds on his arms and chest.
Advanced life support was performed on him before he was transported to Northdale Hospital for urgent medical treatment.
The man was allegedly robbed and stabbed while hitchhiking.
Police were on scene to investigate the incident.
