Netcare 911 paramedics and other services responded to an accident on the N1 at Montana Park in Pretoria this evening.
Upon their arrival on scene they found a man in a serious condition after two heavy goods vehicles had collided.
The injured patient was treated on scene before being transported to hospital for further medical care.
Exact detail to the cause of the accident and preceding events will remain the subject of a police investigation
