Netcare 911 paramedics and other services assisted at an accident on the N2 past Umtentweni towards Durban this morning.
Upon their arrival at the scene they found that one person was in a serious condition after a vehicle overturned.
The injured patient was treated on scene before being transported to hospital for further medical care.
Exact detail to the cause of the accident and preceding events will remain the subject of a police investigation.
