A man is in a critical condition after he was struck by a car along N M R Avenue in Durban at around 08h30 this morning. Exact detail to the cause of the accident and preceding events will remain a subject for police investigation and comment.
Netcare 911 paramedics arrived at the scene and found the thirty-five year old male lying prone on the roadway with life threatening injuries. Paramedics stabilised him on scene and after he was placed on a ventilator and immobilised on a trauma board they transported the patient to a local hospital for the care that he required.
