Netcare 911 paramedics and other services responded to a pedestrian accident on Garstfontein Road in Woodhill, Pretoria this afternoon.
Upon their arrival on scene they found a woman was seriously injured after she was knocked over by a motor vehicle.
The woman was treated on scene before she was transported to hospital for further medical care.
Exact detail to the cause of the accident and preceding events will remain the subject of a police investigation.
