Netcare 911 paramedics responded to a pedestrian accident on St Andrews Street in Bloemfontein this morning.
Upon their arrival on scene they found that an eighteen-year-old sustained serious injuries after being knocked over by a motor vehicle.
The patient was treated on scene before being transported to hospital for further medical care.
Exact detail to the cause of the accident and preceding events will remain the subject of a police investigation.
