A biker has been seriously injured in a side impact collision on the corner of Frere Road and Willowvale Road in Umbilo just after 3pm today.
Rescue Care paramedics arrived to find the seriously injured biker lying on the roadway. They began stabilizing him and needed the assistance of an Advanced Life Support paramedic for pain medication. Once the injured biker had been stabilized on the scene he was transported by Rescue Care to a nearby hospital for further care that he required.
At this stage it is unclear what caused the collision however it is suspected the one vehicle came in the path of the biker. SAPS were on the scene and will be investigating further.
